In the course of time the company strengthened its position as
one of the biggest in the branch on the Balkans. In 1997 "Chaika
- 97" JSC was privatized with major proprietor "ETCO
- CO". The company owns the necessary up-to-date equipment,
situated on 30000 sq.m., as follows: production building - 12000
sq.m., warehouse premises - 6000 sq.m., Repair and Mechanical
Activities - 2000 sq.m., administrative building and other subsidiary
ones.
The sewing machines and the equipment are modern, imported from
Germany. Our specialists from Repair and Mechanical Activities
Department perform permanent control and maintenance. At the moment
260 people work in the company, but the staff may increase depending
on the production needs: mechanics and specialists; technologists
and model makers - 10; Machine mechanics - 20; administration
- 10; workers and tailors - 210; servicing staff - 10.
The Constructive and Technological Department and the Model Making
Department are founded for developing new wares and introducing
them into production. The training of new workers and advancing
of the qualification is accomplished in our own educational centre.
In due course "Chaika - 97" JSC has been producing its
own products (under the trade mark SydLine), as well as products
ordered by leading European companies from Germany, England, Italy,
Belgium and so on. The company shows great interest in co-operation
with similar ones and is in position to take part in different
projects, having in mind that it proved itself as a correct partner.
At the moment our company produces different goods for companies
like Samsonite, Lacoste, Diadora etc.
The geographical position of "Chaika - 97" JSC, the
nearness to the highway and the availability of our own storage
under customs control makes the movement of materials and manufactured
goods to all parts of Europe unimpeded and more easy.
